Located in the Mandurah Forum shopping centre, nextra Forum West Newsagency is seeking a highly motivated individual to join an enthusiastic, customer-service driven and product-focused team for approximately 25 to 38 hours per week. We are a newsagency with a difference, striving to provide a unique range of gifts for all ages, ladies fashion and homewares along with traditional newsagency lines. We offer flexibility in working hours but Saturday and/or Sunday availability is crucial. This position requires availability for weekend work and only candidates who are available on at least one day of the weekend will be considered.

This is a hands-on customer focused position requiring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Daily duties of successful applicants may include (but are not limited to):

Engaging with, serving and assisting customers efficiently and professionally across all areas of the business

Operation of Lotterywest terminals

Handling payments including EFTPOS and cash registers

Maintaining, replenishing and merchandising of stock and product displays

Operation of computerised tills and stock management systems

The successful applicant will need:

A willingness to learn

Experience in a busy retail environment

The ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a tight knit team

Exceptional customer service skills

An ability to engage with people from all walks of life and of all ages

A strong proactive work ethic

A passion for selling without being pushy

This position is only open to permanent Australian residents, and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview. Applicants with no prior Lotterywest experience will be required to complete online training conducted by Lotterywest prior to commencing this position.
