Storeperson – Food Wholesaler

Join a well-established food wholesaler with over 30 years of local success. We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Storeperson to become an integral part of our fast-paced warehouse team.

About the Role

This hands-on role involves managing stock, preparing orders, and keeping our warehouse running smoothly including work in freezer and chiller environments. If you're physically fit, organised, and enjoy working in a team environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders
• Receive, check, and store incoming goods
• Work in freezer/chiller areas as part of daily tasks
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment
• Rotate stock and monitor product freshness
• Assist with basic inventory control and stocktakes
• Liaise with drivers and sales staff as needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of food and food handling is essential
• Physically fit – regular lifting and manual handling required
• Comfortable working in cold storage (freezer/chiller) conditions
• Manual driver’s licence preferred.
• Good attention to detail and time management
• Basic computer skills (for inventory and dispatching tasks)
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
