The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Operation & Resident Services Manager, you'll provide relief coverage and support for Aveo Northern Beaches communities whilst Village Managers are on periods of leave. You will enjoy spending your week immersed in the day-to-day operations, administration and culture, to create a positive, welcoming and safe environment for residents and staff. Our Village Managers are responsible for leading resident activities & engagement, financial performance, people management and facilities management. As a Relief Village Manager, you will thrive in keeping our communities running smoothly and enjoy supporting new Village Managers when they join the business. This is a permanent part-time position working three days a week, ideally Monday-Wednesday, or Wednesday-Friday. This position will be based across our Northern Sydney communities, with villages located in Bayview, Avalon Beach, St Ives, East Lindfield, Bella Vista and Mosman.

You will:

  • Provide coverage when Village Managers are on leave to support with all daily operations of village services, including compliance, safety & security, people leadership, finance, facilities management and resident satisfaction
  • Help build and maintain a vibrant resident satisfaction culture throughout the community that is built on communication, professionalism and inclusion
  • Liaise with a wide range of internal and external teams, including (but not limited to): Facilities, Operations, Care, Marketing, Legal, Sales and People & Risk
  • Assist in training and supporting any new Village Managers to the business
  • Have an eye for maintenance or facilities issues by working with the on-site maintenance team to improve the facade of the overall community
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all policies and procedures (including ensuring correct admin processes are in place and followed)
  • Assist with people leadership including recruitment, onboarding, rostering and ongoing training & development

What you'll bring:

  • Prior experience in any front-line operations management or administration role (e.g. Hospitality Manager, Hotel/Tourism Manager, Practice Manager, Office Manager, Facilities Manager or General Manager roles etc.)
  • A passion for team culture, customer engagement and working with a wide range of residents and stakeholders
  • Strong administration skills (bonus points if you love checklists and compliance!)
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline (desirable, not essential)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete it for you!)
  • Two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
