The Role: Meaningful, varied, flexible
As an APS 6 Clinician in our national Client Assist Contact Centre, you’ll:
Deliver phone-based clinical services, including intake, assessment, triage, and immediate mental health support.
Work within a rostered 24/7 environment (including weekends and nights) under a hybrid work model.
Refer clients to appropriate regional offices, crisis and specialist services across Australia.
Apply trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches to support the veteran community.

We’re seeking clinicians who:
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can commit to rostered 24/7 work.
Have demonstrated experience in mental health settings, especially intake, assessment and brief interventions.
Hold qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or counselling.
Apply a holistic, trauma-informed approach to client care.
Are skilled in working with vulnerable clients over the phone.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, sound judgement, and excellent IT proficiency.
Key Duties
Conduct intake assessments, risk assessments and brief counselling interventions over the phone.
Ensure clinical documentation meets policy requirements.
Maintain accurate, confidential client records.
Engage in CPD activities to maintain professional registration.
Liaise with clients’ family members and service providers as needed.
Work collaboratively with your team to review and manage client cases.
Mandatory Requirements
Australian citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline AGSVA security clearance.
Hold, or be able to obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People registration or Working with Children Check (depending on state/territory).
Relevant qualifications:
Registered Psychologist / Occupational Therapist / Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
Social Worker with AASW membership, OR
Masters-level counsellor registered with PACFA (Clinical) or ACA Level 3 or 4.
