At Downes Distribution we are a small family run business who distribute products to Coles, Woolworths and independent supermarkets.

We are seeking a motivated casual warehouse storeperson to join our team 2-3 days a week as a minimum. As a member of our warehouse operations, you'll focus on picking and packing orders, assisting with container unloading, and supporting stock management activities within the warehouse including receipting orders and putting stock away. We need someone who likes a fast-paced environment and is ready to work within the team to ensure an efficient warehouse.

Our family attitude extends to our team where family always comes first so we're flexible and understanding of the issues that arise around whatever family life throws at us.

The successful applicant will:

Efficiently pick items according to order specifications and pack orders securely and accurately for delivery to customers.

Ensure orders are prepared and ready for dispatch on time.

Organise and distribute incoming stock to designated storage areas.

Maintain stock for efficient picking and packing of customer orders.

Work with the senior warehouse person to ensure proper handling and storage of stock.

Maintainin a clean, organised, and safe workspace.

Previous Warehouse experience is preferred, however training can be provided.

Our successful candidate will have / demonstrate:

A good level of physical fitness and be able to lift and move heavy objects.

Ability to correctly read and understand customer orders

Basic computer skills.

Confident communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently and independently whilst being part of the broader team.
