Our client provides maintenance to office and retail spaces in Melbourne CBD and other suburbs and are seeking a skilled Maintenance Carpenter to join their team. The Maintenance Carpenter will be responsible for maintaining the physical appearance and structural integrity of all facilities, including buildings, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform carpentry repairs, installation, and maintenance on the office buildings and structures, including walls, doors, floors, windows, ceilings, and roofs.
• Install and maintain furniture, shelving, and other fixtures in the offices, and other spaces.
• Repair and install drywall, patch holes, and apply plaster or other finishing materials as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as painting, sealing, and weatherproofing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with buildings and equipment and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
• Work in conjunction with other maintenance team members to identify and prioritise tasks, and communicate progress to Facilities Manager.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment, and ensure they are kept in good working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to all policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of carpentry experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other maintenance team members.
• Experience with carpentry tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and sanders.
