Your unique opportunity

Freshwater Christian College is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our community. If you're dedicated to fostering a love of literature and language in students and have experience teaching Years 11 and 12 English, we encourage you to apply.

Commencing in October 2025, this position is permanent, full-time.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice.

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will have

appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.

Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).

alignment with the values, virtues and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.

the ability to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.

the ability to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.

the ability to work with all members of the College community.

the right to work in Australia, without needing sponsorship.
