We're seeking a highly capable Frontend Developer with strong AWS cloud expertise and backend-for-frontend (BFF) experience to join a large-scale, national digital transformation program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major reform project here in Melbourne.

You'll join a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team tasked with designing and building modern, secure, and scalable cloud-native solutions, grounded in data mesh and data fabric architecture. As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with UI/UX designers, solution architects, and backend engineers to bring intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling portals and websites to life.

Your Role Will Include:

• Building responsive frontend applications using React, Drupal, GraphQL, and AWS serverless technologies.
• Translating Figma mockups into functional, user-focused web apps that align with accessibility and brand standards.
• Developing backend-for-frontend layers using AWS services (AppSync, Lambda, Amplify, Cognito, API Gateway).
• Supporting CI/CD workflows via GitLab and AWS CDK.
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure quality, security, and a smooth go-live experience.
• Championing best practices and maintaining high standards in code quality, documentation, and testing.

You'll Bring:

• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Drupal.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS services: AppSync, Lambda, Cognito, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and Amplify.
• Experience integrating APIs and CMS solutions in cloud-native environments.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with design, architecture, testing, and DevOps teams.
• A user-first mindset with a passion for building elegant, functional digital experiences.
