About the role
Mater at Home Services is seeking multiple highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse's to join our Mater at Home team in a permanent full-time opportunity, based at South Brisbane.
The Hospital in the Home (HITH) Registered Nurse is a dynamic and self-directed role providing broad clinical cares to HITH patients. HITH operates to deliver hospital level care in the safety and comfort of a person’s residence. Using extensive experience, this role is responsible for the delivery of acute and post-acute care in the community.
Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 (RN) per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Registered Nurse is required to liaise with the hospital and community based multidisciplinary care teams to deliver seamless, holistic care. The Registered Nurse will have problem-solving skills to manage patient related issues and escalation. The HITH Registered Nurse has excellent time management skills and provides support for nursing team members. Additionally, the role operates to support the HITH Clinical Nurse Consultant and line manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability and continual improvement of the HITH service.
About you
To be considered for this role you will have;
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Current open drivers’ license
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse with an acute setting
- Previous experience in Hospital in the Home Service highly regarded
- Cannulation
- Venepuncture
- PICC Line management
- POC Access/De-access
- Complex Wound Care
- Computer/information technology literacy
