About the role

Highway Carriers' is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our team in Kunda Park, Queensland. As a full-time HR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across South-East QLD adhering to all relevant road transport regulations and company policies.

Role responsibilities

Driving heavy rigid vehicles (HR class) to safely transport goods and materials to various locations (multi-drop and pick up)

Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness

Monitoring and maintaining compliance with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies

Providing excellent customer service and timely delivery of goods

Maintaining accurate records of driving activities, delivery times and any incidents

Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles as required

Role expectations

Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's license and a minimum of 2 years' experience driving HR vehicles

Demonstrated experience in safely operating and maneuvering heavy vehicles in diverse driving conditions

Excellent knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work under pressure to meet delivery deadlines

Efficient time management skills and the ability to work independently

Good communication and problem-solving skills
