As our highly valued Mental Health and AOD Project Officer, you will use your skills in facilitating and managing projects as well as engaging a range of stakeholders to support and progress key mental health and alcohol and other drug projects that create positive change to the residents of South Western Sydney.
You’ll make an impact at scale by:
Facilitating and supporting management of key mental health and AOD projects including but not limited to:
Mental Health and AOD Projects that drive greater collaboration, improved service access, improved integration and mental health, AOD and suicide prevention outcomes.
Communication and Promotion projects aimed at reducing stigma, improving understanding of mental health, AOD and suicide prevention and increasing awareness of SWSPHN commissioned services.
Internal Quality Improvement and Wellbeing activities
Bringing together and/or supporting key internal and external stakeholders to progress Project activities, leading to positive mental health and AOD outcomes for residents of the SWS region.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or equivalent experience in mental health and alcohol & other drugs, or a combination of study and work experience.
Skills and experience in facilitating and supporting the management of projects that have a community and sector focus including development of project briefs, program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
An ability to communicate, collaborate and bring people together effectively, both internal and external.
An ability to self-manage workload, task and priorities in the context of supporting a larger team including capacity to be flexible, set priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
