CNC Machine Operator – Day Shift | Rowville Location

Monday to Friday – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

About the Role

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a section press and CNC milling machine, ensuring all components are manufactured to specification. You will also work with hand and power tools and be expected to assist in other areas of production as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling and section press machines according to production plans and engineering drawings

Set up tools, fixtures, and materials for scheduled jobs

Monitor and adjust machines to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy

Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Follow all workplace safety and OH&S procedures

Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and quality staff

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor

What You’ll Need

Essential:

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous CNC or similar machine operation experience

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CNC programs

Good attention to detail and quality control mindset

Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Physically fit – able to lift up to 25kg

Strong communication and time management skills

Desirable:

Hand and power tool experience

Flexibility to work across various production tasks when required
