Our precast yard in Gnowangerup is fully equipped for mould preparation, concrete pouring and curing. In this hands-on role, you will work in this yard environment – preparing forms, pouring and compacting concrete, and demoulding finished products. The team uses forklift trucks, cranes and other equipment to move heavy moulds and panels safely, so attention to safety and detail is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble moulds, formwork and reinforcement for a variety of precast concrete products (panels, pits, ramps, etc.).

Mix, pour and finish concrete batches according to specifications; ensure even distribution.

Monitor and manage the curing process (covering, timing and conditions) to achieve required strength and quality.

Remove (demould) cured concrete elements from forms and carry out any necessary finishing.

Inspect finished precast components for quality, accuracy and compliance with engineering drawings.

Operate yard equipment (forklifts, mobile cranes) to move moulds and concrete parts safely.

Clean and maintain moulds, tools, and the yard area to support efficient production.

Follow all company and OHS safety procedures, maintaining a tidy work environment and using personal protective equipment at all times.

Requirements

Trade qualification in concreting, civil construction, carpentry or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in precast concrete work.

Proven experience in concrete pouring, formwork assembly and finishing techniques. Knowledge of steel reinforcing placement is a plus.

Current Construction Induction (White Card) and valid Driver’s Licence. Forklift or crane tickets would be advantageous.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, work in outdoor and yard conditions, and handle the demands of a manual trade.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Willingness to relocate to Gnowangerup, WA – this is essential for the role. Relocation support is offered to the right candidate to ease the move.
