Zafra Legal is a commercial law firm located in Perth, Western Australia. Founded in 2016 with an established client base, Zafra Legal has pursued a strong growth path for over 9 years.

We are now seeking a full-time Senior Conveyancer to join our highly skilled and well regarded property team, which provides critical subdivision and settlement support to commercial and residential property developers and property investment funds.

The Role

As a key team member within Zafra Legal's property practice area, the role involves collaborating with our legal professionals to support the preparation of all property conveyancing activities to achieve readiness for settlement. At times, the successful candidate will also be required to work independently to initiate, manage and finalise property conveyancing transactions through to settlement.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Reviewing, amending and drafting a range of subdivision and settlement documents, including preparation of Landgate documents, either in paper or in PEXA

Submitting documents with RevenueWA

Lodging documents with Landgate either in paper or electronically though PEXA

Co-ordinating residential and commercial property settlements

Assisting our legal professionals in the firm's property practice area with:
- conveyancing support for land subdivisions and amalgamations
- managing and executing settlement of subdivisions including off the plan strata schemes and staged settlements
- ancillary matters relevant to a conveyance, including registration of leases, mortgages, covenants and easements

Liaising with clients and service providers in respect of conveyancing and settlement

Providing instructions and guidance to administrative staff

About You

You will have prior experience as a conveyancer, with a desire to develop your skills to lead the settlement team.

Strong organisation and time management skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Proactive and support focused mindset with high levels of initiative.

The ability to work independently and energetically in a team environment.

Strong literacy skills.

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, Setts Plus, Revenue Online and PEXA is essential.
