The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a New Construction Maintenance Carpenter/Manager to join the team at Stroud Homes Brisbane East. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of new home constructions in the Rochedale QLD 4123 area.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on new home constructions to ensure they meet quality standards
• Manage a team of carpenters and tradespeople to efficiently complete maintenance tasks
• Liaise with homeowners to address any concerns or issues that arise during the maintenance process
• Oversee the procurement of materials and tools required for maintenance work
• Implement safety protocols and ensure all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a carpenter or in a construction maintenance role
• Strong leadership and management skills to effectively coordinate a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety practices
• Strong communication skills to liaise with homeowners and stakeholders
