Located in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches, our day surgery facility has completed tens of thousands of day surgery procedures, including ophthalmic surgery, endoscopy & gastroscopy, oral & maxillofacial procedures.

About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated experienced Scrub/ Scout Registered Nurse to join us on a part-time basis of 3 - 4 days a week.

Provide skilled scrub and scout assistance for procedures in ophthalmology, gastroenterology, and oromaxillofacial surgery, ensuring timely access to instruments and consumables

Provide direct assistance to surgeons during procedures, including instrument handling, swab and count checks, and maintaining aseptic technique

Maintain and monitor the sterile field and ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.

Uphold National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and compliance with accreditation standards.

Foster a culture of respect, safety, and excellence within the theatre team.

About You:

Solid experience as a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse.

Experience in ophthalmic surgery is desirable.

Current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurse

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills .
