We are seeking a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Lead Installer/Driver to join our team. If you enjoy working with your hands, problem-solving on the go, and delivering exceptional customer service, this role is for you!
The Role
As the Lead Installer / Driver at Castle and Cubby, you will be Delivering and Installing a large range of timber products throughout Victoria and with regular monthly runs to NSW.
You will be working with our installers to delivery a range of different products, build decking and platforms and perform maintenance duties for a growing list of customers.
You will also collaborate with our Operations Manager to enhance our installation and customer service processes, aiming for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Installation:
Install a diverse range of timber products, including cubby houses, mud kitchens, huts, A-frames, Gaga ball pits, shade structures, and custom-built food trucks, at customer sites.
• Onsite quoting and client consultation
Attend site visits to accurately measure and scope upcoming projects. Work directly with current and prospective clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Customer Interaction:
Liaise professionally with clients during deliveries and installations, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any on-site queries.
• Driving & Logistics:
Safely operate and maintain our company vehicle to transport products to various locations across Victoria and NSW. Including keeping up-to-date vehicle logs.
• Site Preparation:
Assess and prepare installation sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient assembly.
• Problem Solving:
Adapt to varying installation environments and resolve any unforeseen challenges during assembly.
• Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the operations and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Occasional Responsibilities
Pick/packing of deliveries at busy times of the year.
What We’re Looking For
A valid and current MR (Medium Rigid) driver’s licence is essential.
Certificate lll in Carpentry
Onsite quoting experience
Proficiency with power tools and equipment and previous experience working with timber,
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
Excellent work ethic and pride in your creations.
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical drawings.
Capable of handling manual tasks, including lifting and assembling large timber products.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and feedback capabilities.
Hours
Work from 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM daily. With some overtime hours that are unavoidable with an on the road role
Pay
Hourly rate negotiable based on skills and experience.
