About the role;

Based in Campbelltown Sydney, I am looking for an experienced Caseworker to provide support to young and vulnerable parents, you will identify services to address individual needs through a stepped model of care. You will work closely with Child and Family Health Nurses to screen families for health and developmental needs.

You will be working with a purpose-driven organisation delivering inclusive support to families with a focus on young parents. You will manage a caseload of young parents, coordinating support to help them access and engage with essential services and deliver tiered support to young parents and children based on their needs.

You will have a family focused approach to achieve the best outcomes for both young parents and children.

Duties include;

• Managing a caseload of young parents who are experiencing vulnerabilities and require coordinated approach to accessing and engaging services and supports.
• Deliver services that are built on evidence-based frameworks, approaches and models.
• Provide a tiered support response to young parents and their children that is based on their needs and includes: information, advice, comprehensive assessment, case planning, service coordination and navigation.
• Utilise a range of client engagement approaches that are flexible and responsive to need.
• Provide planning support and structure for the safety of children and young parents.
• Internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain up to date client records and administration processes.
• Be available to provide services to children, young people and their families at flexible times and in locations most suitable to their needs.

About you;

• Tertiary quals in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or related with relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with and understanding of the challenges faced by young parents experiencing vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally appropriate casework services to First Nations and CALD families.
• Current NSW Driver’s license and NSW WWCC.

• FTC until Jan 2026, with the view to extend subject to funding.
