EFTEX is a leading Australian payment service provider. We serve businesses who provide payments services to merchants and consumers by creating and supporting innovative processing, acquiring, settlements and dispute handling solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to increase our compliance capability through the appointment of a dedicated AMLCO.
This is a senior, hands-on role, for a subject matter expert, that will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with Australian AML/CTF laws and regulations, while embedding a culture of integrity and risk-awareness across the organisation.
You will be responsible for:
Developing and administering the organisation’s AML/CTF Program.
Conducting risk assessments against products, services, customer bases, delivery channels and
geographical dealings.
Establishing and maintaining internal controls and systems forming, policies and procedures to manage risks.
Creating systems for customer due diligence and transaction monitoring.
Compliance monitoring and reporting, including SMRs.
Overseeing employee training and awareness programs.
Managing AML and other audits
Ongoing Program improvement.
About you:
Comprehensive understanding of the requirements for a Designated Service Provider and associated AML/CTF obligations.
Minimum 5 years' experience in AML/CTF compliance roles within the financial services or payments sectors.
Proven experience designing and managing an AML/CTF Program.
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Risk, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of the Australian AML/CTF Act, rules, and regulatory obligations.
Experience engaging with AUSTRAC and other regulatory bodies.
Proven communication and leadership skills.
Excellent analytical, risk assessment, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
