About the role

Dynamic Music Studios is seeking a passionate and experienced Piano and Violin Teacher to join our dynamic team in Burwood, Victoria.

This is a fixed-term contract position from August 19th 2025 to August 2026. Core hours are Tuesdays 3:45-6:15pm at our Studio in Burwood and Wednesdays 7-8:30pm at Student Residential areas in Hawthorn. Additional teaching hours may be available.

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality and engaging one-on-one piano and violin lessons to students of all ages and skill levels

Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback and assessments

Collaborating with parents and guardians to ensure students' educational goals are being met

Participating in recitals, concerts, and other performance opportunities to showcase student achievements

Maintaining accurate student records and lesson attendance

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching piano and violin, either privately or in a school setting. Experience teaching other multiple instruments will be considered highly advantageous.

Proficiency in playing both piano and violin to a high standard

Strong teaching skills and the ability to adapt instructional methods to suit individual students' learning styles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and their families

Passion for play and game-based music education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential

Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education or related field required. Grade 8 AMEB or higher in both piano and violin essential.

Current Working with Children Check (Victoria) is essential

Own reliable transport required for travel between Burwood and Hawthorn teaching locations
