Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Support Officer for a Defence Maritime project based in Canberra.
What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Provide high-level administrative and coordination support
• Manage program documentation, version control, and Defence-standard filing
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and reviews, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
• Support project reporting through briefs, status updates, and dashboard preparation
• Maintain and monitor registers including risk, issue, action, and decision logs

What You'll Bring

• Experience in Defence or CASG programs as a Project Support Officer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Defence project lifecycles and governance frameworks.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Defence systems such as Objective and CASG toolsets.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively.
