$41.36 - $52.20 Per hour
About the Role
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) provides high-quality person-centred nursing care for patients with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare problems.
- Work closely with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, support and advocate for critically ill patients
- Enjoy a diverse and challenging environment with a 4-bed unit that treats a wide range of cardiac, respiratory and other conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing interventions and procedures in accordance with GH policies, procedures and guidelines
- Recognise changes in the patient's condition, inform team leaders where required and collaboratively implement strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Ensure person centred care is provided according to individual patient assessment and needs
- Promote evidence-based practice that has a problem-solving approach and is competency based
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Postgraduate/Certificate qualifications in critical care or recent experience in Intensive Care Nursing and willing to undertake further education, training and competency assessment as required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to personal and professional development and continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity
Desirable:
- Experience in attending MET calls

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $41.36 - $52.20 per hour.
