What you'll be doing
- Provide expert clinical advice, clinical organisation, leadership and consultancy services within the nursing specialty across multiple service groups, target populations and health care professionals, delivering high quality stroke, rehabilitation and falls prevention and management services.
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, consumers and partners within the Far West Local Health District and NSW Health.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Current Authority to Practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience including 3 years' experience in the specialty and post graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty (Rehabilitation, Stroke or Cardiovascular Disease)
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and advanced information technology skills to provide complex consultancy services and influence innovative nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in stroke and/or rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and develop education plans and resource material for patients/clients and health care professionals.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.

About Far West NSW Local Health District
Bordering three states, Far West Local Health District (LHD) covers 194,949 square kilometres in remote NSW. The LHD is sparsely populated, with 62% of its approximately 30,000 inhabitants living in the Silver City of Broken Hill. The remainder of the population live in agricultural towns along the Murray River, in small remote communities of 80-800 people or on stations throughout the LHD. Far West LHD is the most sparsely populated LHD in NSW and has the highest proportion of Aboriginal residents (9.6%). The population is decreasing, ageing and experiencing significant morbidity related to lifestyle factors and chronic illness.
