As a Support Services Officer, you’ll be an essential part of our Support Services team working as either a Catering Assistant or a Cleaner or both. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that ensures our hospital remains a safe, clean, nurturing and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike. Every task you perform supports our mission to deliver Excellence in Care and Service and directly contributes to the care and recovery of our patients.

In catering, you will:

Prepare, portion, and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors

Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and food preparation area

Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to meet daily service needs

In cleaning, you will:

Clean and sanitise patient rooms, restrooms, public and clinical areas

Handle and dispose of general and clinical waste safely

Respond to urgent cleaning needs promptly and professionally

Adhere to infection control and safety procedures

Collaborate with housekeeping staff to maintain high hygiene standards

Experience in catering or commercial cleaning is welcome, but not essential – we provide full training.
