About the role

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Sheetmetal & Metal Fabricator to join our team at East West Engineering in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in the fabrication and manufacturing of high-quality metal products for our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

Perform welding, cutting, bending and assembly of metal components to fabricate finished products

Interpret engineering drawings and relevant documentation

Operate a variety of metalworking equipment including welding machines, guillotine, press brake, metal punch, band saw, drills, etc.

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety

Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and deadlines

Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Welding, Sheetmetal/Metal Fabrication or a related trade

Significant experience as a Welder, Sheetmetal Worker or Metal Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Competent in the use of a range of metal fabrication equipment and machinery

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
