Proclinical is seeking a Microbiology QC Analyst to join our client, a global Biopharmaceutical leader renowned for its innovation and commitment to delivering medicines to treat health conditions and improve quality of life. At their Broadmeadows site, they manufacture life saving blood plasma derived medicines.

Role Overview

The Microbiology QC Analyst performs Microbial Content testing of raw materials, in- process/sFP product, and Water in compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations to ensure product specifications are met within the QC department.

Team Size: 14 people
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extensions
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Standard Mon to Fri hours, may need to do some weekend work.
Capacity: All on-site
Location: Broadmeadows, 3047

Role Responsibilities

Perform routine Bioburden testing using pour plate, spread plate and membrane filtration techniques.

Perform Biological indicator testing.

Perform Environmental Monitoring, including viable and non-viable monitoring.

Participate in investigation of out of specification results as required.

Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained / prepared in accordance with approved procedures.

General laboratory housekeeping and maintaining stock in the lab.

Use of Microsoft Office applications, internal documentation, and Quality systems.

Perform data entry in Laboratory Information Management System

Skills and Experience

Degree in Microbiology or Science with further studies in Microbiology or equivalent.

1-2 years experience in a similar role.

Knowledge or working experience with Microbial content testing and microbial enumeration.

Familiar with the USP/BP/EP compendial requirements.

Strong pipetting skills and aseptic behaviour, knowledge and techniques.

Strong organisation and time management skills.

Good knowledge of the TGA (PICs) and FDA requirements.

Ability to work alone or with a small team.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry (highly regarded).
