We’re Hiring: Customer Service Officer

The National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) is more than a gym or pool – it’s a space where culture, community and excellence come together.

We’re looking for a friendly and community-minded Customer Service Officer to be the first point of contact for our mob, members and guests. You’ll welcome people to the Centre, help with memberships and bookings, serve great coffee and food, and make sure everyone feels at home.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll get to meet new people, work in a strong team and be part of something bigger – supporting health, connection and culture every day.

What You’ll Be Doing
✔ Greet every member and guest like family – a smile goes a long way!
✔ Support mob and community with enquiries, bookings and memberships
✔ Serve coffee, food and products from our café and shop (barista skills a bonus!)
✔ Keep our reception and café spaces tidy and welcoming
✔ Work alongside a team that cares about culture, safety and great service

What You’ll Bring

At least 6 months experience in cafe customer service - Barista experience is a must for this role!

A friendly, professional attitude and great communication skills

First Aid certificate

Able to work flexible hours across 7 days

A strong commitment to cultural safety and working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
