Valley District Cricket Club (VDCC) is a Queensland Premier Cricket club that provides
playing opportunities for players of all abilities and genders across juniors and seniors.
VDCC is seeking a highly motivated, organised and proactive Club Cricket Coordinator
(the Coordinator) to support the participation of over 1,900 players across the summer
and winter seasons.
This pivotal role involves coordinating junior registrations, supporting team allocations,
managing communications, and ensuring compliance with Blue Card requirements for volunteer coaches
and managers.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will also work closely with key
volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of cricket participation across the club. The
Coordinator acts as a key liaison point for players, parents and key volunteers across
VDCC.
This is a perfect opportunity to gain sport coordination experience in Australia’s largest
cricket club as we edge closer to Brisbane 2032.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage player registration and data for Cricket Australia’s PlayHQ system.
Assist the Junior Cricket Committee with team formation, registration reports and
season commencement support.
Demonstrate strong and proactive communication and written skills particularly for
engaging with internal and external stakeholders including parent and volunteer enquiries.
Oversee Queensland Government Blue Card compliance for all relevant VDCC personnel.
Conduct and coordinate key junior events and competitions (Friday night cricket, team photos and end of season presentations).
Provision of administrative support to the Valley Cricket Academy.
Develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships with key external stakeholders such as Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association and the Warehouse Cricket Association to ensure ongoing opportunities for VDCC members.
Skills & Requirements:
Self- motivated with strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.
Tech-savvy or ability to learn quickly to utlise PlayHQ, Canva, Mailchimp, Social Media and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently, make insightful decisions and identify potential issues.
Comfortable engaging with families and volunteer coordinators to build enduring relationships.
Some evening and remote weekend work required in summer cricket season.
