We’re currently looking to fill a few roles as we expand our team!
You’ve built a strong foundation in research and are now ready to step into a role with more ownership and impact. You’re confident across both quantitative and qualitative approaches and know how to choose the right tools to answer the right questions. Whether it’s running surveys, digging into the data, or diving into online forums, you bring both rigour and curiosity to your work.
You’ve worked on end-to-end projects—from briefing through to delivery—and you’re comfortable managing timelines, fieldwork, and client expectations along the way. You’ve got a sharp eye for detail but can also zoom out to help shape a compelling narrative.
You enjoy the mix of thinking and doing. You're confident in front of a room (virtual or real), comfortable collaborating with clients, and quick to adapt when things shift. You’re keen to stretch beyond classic research and into more strategic or creative territory too.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll be leading and shaping research projects from start to finish - no cookie-cutter briefs. You'll work closely with the Melbourne Research & Strategy team to help brands (big and small) make smarter, more meaningful decisions through excellent design, thoughtful analysis, and clear, compelling insight.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll get stuck into:
• Quantitative & qualitative research delivery: From writing proposals and crafting questionnaires or discussion guides, to fieldwork management and insight reporting, you’ll run a range of projects across sectors like FMCG, retail, and lifestyle.
• Pulse tracking & agile research: You’ll lead weekly quick-turn studies for key clients, designing short surveys, managing timelines, and pulling out actionable insights that land with impact.
• Online research & communities: Using our platform InsightIQ, you’ll run online forums, short polls, and other creative digital qual, bringing the consumer voice to life in new ways.
• Client management & collaboration: You’ll work directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle—building trust, presenting findings, and helping turn insights into action.
It’s a fast-paced, varied role where you’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll also have the chance to mentor more junior team members, contribute to broader thinking across T garage, and stretch into innovation and brand work as part of our collaborative, cross-functional team.
You’re a great fit if you:
We’re looking for curious, capable, and collaborative. Here’s what helps:
• You have 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial research role, and are confident working across both quant and qual.
• You can manage end-to-end research projects: from writing briefs and managing fieldwork, to telling a clear story with the results.
• You’re familiar with survey tools, research platforms, and online qual, and can pick up new tech quickly.
• You’re comfortable working with data by spotting patterns, building charts, and drawing out what matters.
• You write clearly, present confidently, and bring your own point of view to the table.
• You’re organised and proactive and you know how to juggle multiple timelines, stay across the detail, and keep things moving.
• You’re open, thoughtful, and collaborative and are looking to do great work with great people.
• You’re ready to step into a role where you can grow, contribute strategically, and work closely with clients and colleagues alike.
The details:
• Location: Melbourne
• Positions: Consultant
• Start date: September
• Salary: Range $80,000 – $95,000 (including super)
• Must have full working rights in Australia.
We’re a team of curious thinkers, practical problem-solvers and food lovers. We don’t do cookie-cutter research, we work with heart and purpose to help our clients create better, more meaningful products.
If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you!
