An exciting opportunity has become available to join a progressive company in the rapidly growing water industry as a Metro Delivery Driver within our Dispatch team.

West Coast Poly Pty Ltd is a well-established manufacturing company based in Canning Vale WA. We produce high-quality, long-lasting roto-moulded polyethylene products for liquid storage systems supplying the rural, urban and industrial /mining sectors.

This role is on a casual basis dependent on metro delivery requirements. Work days are typically 5 days a week.

This is not your typical truck driving delivery job. It includes manual labour of manoeuvring tanks off the truck at the drop off locations, and depending on customer order requirements, installation of fittings onsite. The successful applicant will need to be physically capable of performing such work, and handy with power tools.

Responsibilities include:

Safe delivery of residential storage products around metro and some semi-rural areas

Loading & unloading of large bulky items

Restraining various cargo items according to safe loading practices

Following instructions directed by supervisors/managers

Maintaining delivery vehicle to a roadworthy standard

Ability to understand and follow all OH&S requirements

Ability to work safely and effectively

Ability to safely operate 3.5t truck with tail lift

Able to operate truck and trailer safely

Ideal candidate:

Will have good knowledge of Perth metro area

Will have experience driving 3 - 4 tonne truck, with a trailer

Will have a valid Western Australian LR or MR driver’s license

Will have a current Forklift License (LF)

Have the ability work well with others and within a team environment

Will be physically fit

Will be willing to undertake a commercial driver medical including pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Demonstrate sound practical skills

Will have excellent customer service skills
