• Full-Time, Permanent
• Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2: $100,064 - $105,123 per annum + Superannuation or Health Professional Level 2: $94,927 - $106,210 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role
As a Mental Health AOD Clinician, you will have a minimum of 2 years mental health and/or AOD experience as a registered and accredited Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Nurse.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary recovery-focused team inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners, specialist child and family practitioners, LGBTQIA+, AOD, and mental health peer support workers.

Drawing on your disciplinary skills, you will engage with consumers to provide evidence based psychological therapies and clinical interventions, and where required work with the consumers allied health or medical team, and their supports aimed at improving mental health outcomes and/or help the consumer to recover from drug and alcohol use. You will play an active role in disciplinary knowledge sharing with your colleagues and creating a reciprocal learning environment within the team.

What you will bring to the role

• Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupationational Therapy
• Proven minimum 2 years MH or AOD clinical experience to apply evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions, including understanding of theoretical concepts within mental health and/or AOD sciences and their application to mental health and/or AOD presentations.
• Experience working as a member of a multi- disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation.
• Demonstrated ability to form and nurture partnerships with government and non-government mental health, AOD, emergency and community service providers.
• All staff are required to adhere to Neami immunisation and vaccination policy directives to minimise the risk of vaccine preventable diseases to protect workers, other employees, consumers, and visitors.
• Demonstrated experience in working with Children and Families, and applying evidence based psychological therapies. (Desirable)
