Are you an Electrician looking for something a bit different? Love the idea of flexibility, independence, and not having to clock in at a depot every morning? We’ve got just the gig for you!

Southern Cross Contractors is on the hunt for an experienced Electrician to help us keep the power flowing across Regional NSW. You’ll spend your days out and about, installing and maintaining electricity meters for homes and businesses — just you, your vehicle, and your top-notch skills.

You can be based anywhere in the Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Wagga Wagga Griffith areas or anywhere in between!

🔧 What you’ll be up to

Installing new CT and/or WC electricity meters and swapping out the old ones

Doing routine checks, testing, and keeping everything humming along

Diagnosing and fixing dodgy meters that have decided to misbehave

Keeping our customers happy and in the loop, alongside our friendly scheduling team

Logging what you do (we like neat records!)

Making sure everything’s done safely and to industry standards — because safety is king

🙌 Who we’re looking for

A self-starter who always puts safety first

NSW Electrical licence

Solid fault-finding skills in switchboards and electrical systems

Top-tier communication skills and a customer-first attitude

Attention to detail that would impress your nan

Current driver's licence

Bonus points if you have (or are keen to get):

Metering quals (UEEEL0078 or similar)

CPR / LV Rescue, First Aid, Rescue from a Live Panel, etc.

NSW ASP Level 2 Authorisation

Previous meter tech experience (not a must, but handy!)
