About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Full Time Produce Farm Worker to join our team at Desert Farms in Ali Curung, NT 0872 .

MUST HAVE A VALID AUSTRALIAN WORKING VISA AND DRIVERS LICENSE

We are looking for someone who is willing to do a minimum 2-year commitment.

We are located 3.5 hours north of Alice Springs, it is a very rural location. On aboriginal land, therefore a dry community (no alcohol).

We are a close working team, committed to producing high-quality produce for the Australian market.

Tasks for the position include

Preparing fields for planting and soil improvement

Spreading fertilizers as required

Planting seeds and seedlings

Thinning plants and trimming as required for optimum harvest

Installing and repairing irrigation equipment to fields

Spraying crops with pesticides and fungicides as required

Harvesting crops

Pack crops into bulk transport bins

Competent in driving tractors and forklifts

Please note

Forklift and tractor driving tickets are an asset but not a necessity

Permanent full-time position

On-site accommodation is available

The salary package includes accommodation $55,000-$70,000

Previous experience in a similar farm worker or agricultural labourer role

Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks

Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety

Effective communication and teamwork skills

A genuine interest in sustainable agriculture and produce farming

MUST include a statement why they want to live in remote NT.
