Position Overview:

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Underground Service Locators to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utilities, ensuring the safety and efficiency of various construction and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform underground utility locating using a variety of detection equipment and methods.

Accurately mark the location of utilities on-site and document findings.

Read and interpret utility maps, construction drawings, and as-built plans.

Use survey equipment to record underground services locations, process in survey software and draft plans in BricsCAD (surveying qualifications and experience would be highly regarded, otherwise training would be supplied)

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.

Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma; alternatively at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. CertLoc certification preferred. Surveying qualifications highly regarded.

At least 3 years previous experience in underground utility locating or a related field required.

Strong knowledge of underground utility systems and locating equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maps.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
