About the role

Connells Bakery Pty Ltd is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Casual Shop Assistant to join our team in our bakery located in Wonthaggi, VIC. This casual role will involve providing excellent customer service and assisting with daily retail operations. A keen interest in food and customer service is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Providing exceptional customer service to all customers

Assisting with the preparation and serving of bakery products

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the retail area

Restocking shelves and fridges as required

Handling cash and operating the point of sale system

Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene regulations

Supporting the team with other duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably in the food/hospitality industry

A friendly, outgoing and helpful personality with a passion for food

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Good numeracy skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays
