This dynamic role will be suitable for an ambitious experienced Financial Controller/Manager to join our friendly team. This position is located in Smeaton Grange NSW.

This role will be reporting directly to the Director of Business Services. It is a great opportunity for a skilled financial controller to work across a number of small and medium growing companies belonging to one group.

As Financial Controller, you will lead a small finance team, with oversight over AP, AR, Payroll processing and registration requirements of a fleet of vehicles. You will work with the external accountants and maintain relationships with bank and trade finance partners. This role requires someone who can get hands on with day-to-day activities but also provide strategic reporting, analysis and recommendations.

Key responsibilities that will be fundamental to your role not limited to include:

Reporting

Preparation of all the Financial Reports in a timely manner

Prepare monthly management accounts and annual Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports

Maintain the General and Sub Ledgers, Fixed Asset Register and Commitment schedules and company accounts

Undertaking required statutory and BAS, Payroll & Income Tax Prep etc.

Ensuring all other reporting requirements are met

Liaise, collate and pass all relevant information to external accountants as required

Forecasting and Modelling

Provide accurate forecasts and budgets for profit and loss, cash flow, expenditure, general expenditure, pricing and purchasing

Prepare analysis and modelling and provide information for business case presentation as required across a number of ongoing projects

Cash Flow

Manage collections, debtors and cash flow as well as the cash flow reports

What are we looking for?

CA/CPA qualification required with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar financial controller or management role

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB) or similar required

Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Tax Laws, and Corporations Act required or ability to learn quickly
