Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS has an opportunity for a full-time CHSP Case Manager within our Home Care program, based in Taree. The position is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Our CHSP Case Managers work closely with MSS clients, their carers and families to plan and coordinate support services in line with client needs and goals, ensuring our clients can stay living independently in their own homes with the dignity and respect they deserve. As a highly visible representative of the organisation, the successful applicant will enhance MSS's reputation as a provider of choice through their commitment to service excellence and client satisfaction.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Requirements

Completed or working towards a Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care, Disability or higher

Current full drivers’ licence

Skills and Experience

12 months experience working within the Aged Care Sector

Experience in assisting people to make choices enabling them to reach their full health and wellbeing potential

Outstanding interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Understanding of the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds

High level administrative skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and willingness and ability to use client databases

Understanding of safe work practices, proven experience in the use of appropriate manual handling techniques

Personal Attributes

Highly professional and ability to act in a compassionate, non-judgemental manner, with a strong desire to provide quality client service

Proven empathy to the individual needs of others

A thorough understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles.

Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously

Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise and get things done.

Flexibility and ability to be adaptive

Salary packaging up to $15,899 p.a. as well as a meal and entertainment card up to $2,650 p.a.

Bonus annual leave (3 days p.a.; pro rata for part-time).
