The Position
As a Support Worker/Mentor, you’ll play a key role in helping participants build independence and live meaningful lives in their shared living environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication prompts
Supporting the development of life skills
Promoting community access and engagement
Working collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality care
You must be available to work across a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, and weekends.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
Experience supporting people with complex behaviours or medical needs
Certificate III (or working towards) in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or similar
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card
National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
Desirable:
Minimum 1 year experience in a support worker role
Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
Familiarity with insulin management
Background in supporting participants with behaviours of concern Benefits:
