About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join our established and growing legal practice, Chomley Family Law, based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This is a full-time position for a lawyer with 10+ years of post-admission experience in family law.

What you'll be doing

Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and domestic violence matters

Prepare and file all necessary court documents and pleadings

Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings

Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely and effective client communication

Mentor and guide junior lawyers and paralegals within the family law team

Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's family law strategy

What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years of post-admission experience in family law

Demonstrated expertise in all areas of family law, including complex property settlements and child custody matters

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court

Strong client relationship management skills and a commitment to providing exceptional client service

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Admission to practice law in Queensland and a current practising certificate
