Our Client
Our client offers a range of timber processes including sanding, coating, scorching, and laminating. They do custom machining of any timber profile in large or small volumes.

They are seeking to employ general hand labourers who are interested in being trained to operate machines and be part of their team.

Monday to Friday work (Dayshift)

Mondays to Thursdays 7:15am to 4:00 pm & Fridays 7:15 am to 1:30 pm

Spray/Coat timbers using machines

Manual handling of timbers

Training will be provided

Duties are:

ROLES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Quality Checking:

Inspect and reject substandard materials based on quality standards.

Check the quality of incoming materials and ensure they meet specifications.

Monitor the quality of outgoing products and perform quality control checks on finished goods.

Ensure the final product meets excellence in appearance and functionality.

Manual Handling:

Handle timber cladding and flooring materials - less than 20 kg manual handling.

Safely handle products, chemicals, and waste materials.

Stack timber properly and dispose of chemicals in a safe, responsible manner.

Ensure the safe handling and disposal of waste products.

Machine Setup and Operation:

Training will be provided on the use of chemicals and machinery setup

Set up and operate coating machinery, ensuring proper machine operation during production.

Work efficiently in the production process, ensuring all equipment is maintained and functional.

Timber Colour Matching and sorting

Returning excess timber to customer orders.

Documenting daily production run sheets.

Handling timber and panels manually.

Sanding panels to the required thickness and grit with large drum sanders.

Using an Optimizer Saw to cut timber into tops, panels, and treads.

Keeping glue heads and equipment clean and organized.

Ensuring machinery and clamping racks are in optimal condition.

Gluing and clamping panels in manual racks and rotary presses.

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Precisely laminating timber treads and panels in clamping racks.
