Oakland Plumbing is a high-standard plumbing business serving Cairns since 2024. We specialise in domestic, strata, and real estate maintenance and renovations, with plans to expand into domestic and commercial construction this year.

We pride ourselves on quality work, great customer service, and a strong team culture. Now, we're looking for an experienced plumber to join our team for the long term.

The Role:

We’re looking for a skilled plumber who can diagnose, problem-solve, and work independently. The ideal candidate will hold a gas fitting license and have a background in domestic construction and renovations. You’ll work with domestic, strata, real estate, and construction clients, handling a mix of maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and new builds.

We know everyone’s life is different, and we want to find the right person for the long term. That’s why we’re happy to accommodate things like school pickup/drop off, time off for family issues, or when the wind has finally dropped enough to go fishing at the reef. Our goal is to build a strong, reliable team while supporting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

- (Desirable): Gas fitting experience.
- (Desirable): Construction and renovation experience.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, broken pipes).
- Perform general plumbing maintenance for domestic, strata, and real estate clients.
- Operate independently, problem-solve, and deliver efficient solutions.
- Maintain accurate job notes and timesheets.
- Keep work vehicles stocked, clean, and organized.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Work Hours & Roster:

🕒 Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
🔧 Rotating on-call/after-hours roster
🛠️ Flexible scheduling options available to support personal commitments.

Who You Are:

Qualified Plumber with Australian Plumbing Certification.
Confident diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues independently.
Excellent with customers and able to manage relationships professionally.
Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to high-quality work.
Open manual driver’s license required.
Bonus: Experience in gas fitting and domestic construction and renovations.
