As Assistant CEO, you’ll work closely with the CEO to ensure the club's vision, values, and operational excellence are delivered across all departments. With a strong focus on leadership, compliance, and innovation, you’ll play a key role in business planning, staff development, stakeholder engagement, and driving performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Support and act on behalf of the CEO when required.
Lead and mentor Department Managers and Duty Managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Drive high standards of service, product delivery, and staff engagement across all departments.
Monitor and manage budgets, KPIs, and operational performance, providing regular reports to the CEO.
Oversee compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements (e.g., Liquor, Gaming, WHS, Fair Work).
Foster a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Play a key role in club strategy, growth initiatives, and community engagement.
Collaborate on marketing campaigns and service enhancements to increase patronage and member satisfaction.
Contribute to HR processes including recruitment, training, performance management, and staff wellbeing.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 4–6 years in senior management within hospitality or club environments.
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent leadership/management qualification.
Strong knowledge of the Liquor Act, Gaming Act, WHS, and Fair Work legislation.
Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and deliver results.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
A proactive, professional and community-minded attitude.
Licensing Requirements
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Approved Managers Licence
RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
First Aid Certificate (preferred)
