CBG Services is an established communications contracting business servicing both the residential and commercial sectors. Due to a high demand in Telecommunications work we require NBN/Telstra/Optus Skilled Pit & Pipe Installers, Cable Haulers and Excavator Operators to join our team.

The Role

As an NBN skilled Cable Hauler and Civil Worker, you will be required to:

• Assist in the installation of optical fibre and data cabling
• Pit and Pipe Installation
• Haul and Remove various cables
• Operate Vacuum Excavator
• Site Tidy Up & Reinstatement
• Concrete Breakout & Reinstatement
• Undertake additional works as requested
• Locate and repair blockages

Must Have Requirements:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable team member that has the following:

• Valid Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Police Clearance
• Current First Aid and CPR
• enAble registered
• MR drivers license
• Implement traffic management plan
• Identify, locate and protect underground services
• Knowledge of network and the ability to scope civil works, Supply mud maps and SOR's
• Coach any less experienced staff in start cards, traffic management setup, dig permits and completion of tasks in a timely manner

Desirable:

• Previous experience 3yrs with NBN
• Ability to read site plans
• Excavator Ticket
• Previous experience operating a grundomat and excavator
• Asbestos Removal
• Pit and pipe certification
• Strong understanding across data and fibre networks

Candidates will need to be prepared to:

• Stay away in various locations North, East and South of QLD, sometimes at short notice from time to time
• Undertake appropriate training courses and inductions as required
• Participate in competency reviews
