Traffic Signals Technician

We are proudly supporting Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) in the search for a skilled and qualified Traffic Signals Technician to join their team on a key infrastructure project in Tweed Heads.

This is a government contract role offering job security, consistent hours, and the opportunity to work on essential public infrastructure that directly impacts community safety and efficiency.

Your new role

• Install, maintain, and repair traffic lights and associated control systems
• Perform electrical fault finding and scheduled maintenance on signal cabinets and poles
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and timing plans
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical and safety regulations
• Support occasional night works and remote work when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Current Electrical Contractor License or Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical)
• Valid CPR/LVR certification
• Strong focus on safety and the ability to work in live traffic environments
• High Voltage Switching Ticket with practical experience
• Certificate IV in Instrumentation and/or Hazardous Areas
• Experience working with traffic signals or related infrastructure

What you'll get in return

• Location: Tweed Heads
• Rate: $59.24 per hour + superannuation
• Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm, 9-day fortnight roster
• Contract: 6-month initial contract with possible extension
