About the Role

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we’re excited to introduce a new late evening shift to support our increasing operational demands. To ensure seamless operations and top-tier support during these hours, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Gepps Cross in Adelaide.

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as continuous batch washing machines, dryers, ironer lines, conveyors, compressors, and pumps

Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starters, etc.

Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment.

Conduct preventative maintenance programs.

Managing the purchasing and spares list of mechanical parts.

Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.

Conduct other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Managing maintenance projects, new equipment, or machinery.

About You

As the successful applicant, you will be an Electrician that has:

Experience with Pneumatics, mechanics, basic repairs and fabrication.

The ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Availability to work overtime hrs and night shifts when required.

The ability to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.

Basic knowledge of computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software

Consideration will be given to individuals with laundry equipment repair and maintenance experience.
