Qualifications & experience

At least 1 years experience relating to children

Excellent in English teaching and proficiency level in speaking

Have sound knowledge in Early Years Education and Australian Curriculum

Valid Working with Children Check

Tasks & responsibilities

Expertise in Early Childhood Learning: Bring your wealth of knowledge in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Australian Curriculum, along with education philosophies to create enriching learning experiences for our young learners.

You will be involved in preparation, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate programs for individual children or groups.

Team Commitment: You will play a crucial role in the development of the children, happy collaborating with both parents and colleagues to ensure the very best outcomes for each child.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and takes their commitments seriously. It’s important to us—and to the families we serve—that our educators show up on time and stick to the agreed schedule. We’re not just looking for someone to fill a spot temporarily; we need a team member who understands the importance of consistency and won’t leave the role unexpectedly.

Position Details

We’re looking for someone who is warm, reliable, and enthusiastic about building children’s confidence in reading and language. The educator will take the leading role of a group of 6-8 students per class, mainly teaching Phonics, Letters, Reading, foundation level of Literacy and Numeracy. Each class will be 1.5 hours.

Class Size: Maximum of 7 students per group

Age Group: Early learners (typically 4–10 years old)

Class Duration: 1.5 hours per session

Teaching Focus: Phonics, Letters, Reading, Foundation Literacy

Resources: All teaching materials and lesson plans are fully provided

Environment: Supportive, well-organised, and child-centred

About the shift: It’s a weekend tutoring position with negotiable working hours and shifts. We need someone who can work after school time or weekend.
