Mercure Rockhampton is seeking a motivated, experienced, and kindhearted Housekeeping Supervisor to join our fantastic team on a full-time basis.
Mercure Rockhampton is located at the heart of the city, just a short drive from the Rockhampton Airport. The perfect location for accessing the famous Great Keppel Island and other spectacular locations along the Capricorn Coast. The hotel overlooks the picturesque Fitzroy River and offers an outdoor pool, fitness centre as well as 24hour reception. Each room features a private balcony and modern amenities.
About the Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor at Mercure Rockhampton, you’ll take on a key leadership role to ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently exceed Accor’s high standards. With a focus on operational excellence, team support, and continuous improvement, you’ll help deliver an exceptional guest experience while fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to lead by example will be essential to maintaining quality and efficiency across all housekeeping operations.
In this exciting leadership role, you will:
Assist with daily room and public area inspections to ensure standards are met and rooms are released on time
Lead and support team members during shifts, providing clear direction and hands-on guidance
Oversee onboarding and training of new staff to maintain consistency and service quality
Manage cleaning materials and equipment to ensure efficient, effective use
Assist in preparing staff rosters to maintain cost-effective coverage
Support recruitment efforts and actively coach and develop team members
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and streamline operations
Respond to guest feedback and help drive ongoing improvements in cleanliness and comfort
Ensure compliance with WHS and safety procedures
Identify and report maintenance issues for timely resolution
About You
We’re looking for a reliable, proactive leader who brings:
Proven experience in hotel or commercial housekeeping (supervisory experience highly regarded)
Effective communicator with the ability to support, guide, and motivate team members
Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
A flexible, hands-on attitude
Full availability across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
Strong focus on detail, quality, and guest satisfaction
