Workshop Trades Assistant – Mining & Drilling Equipment

About Us:
Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading supplier of mining and drilling equipment to find a skilled Workshop Trades Assistant with strong experience in stripping down engineers' and plant equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Strip down, dismantle, and inspect engines and plant equipment for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment.
• Perform manual assembly and reassembly of drilling equipment and related machinery in the workshop.
• Test and adjust equipment according to company specifications and safety standards.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, store, and organise materials within the workshop.
• Assist with general workshop duties while ensuring all equipment is maintained to high standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience stripping down and handling engineers and plant equipment, preferably in the mining or drilling sectors.
• Previous workshop experience with drilling or heavy machinery is essential.
• Valid forklift and overhead crane operating licenses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work proactively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
