About the role

Maple Bear Norwest is seeking a full-time Kitchen Hand with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education to join our team at Norwest. As a Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our early learning centre and cleaning up after meal times!

What you'll be doing

Preparing our catered meals (heating and handling) and snacks for children in accordance with given instructions and dietary requirements

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and storing food and equipment properly

Assisting with food ordering to ensure the centre is well-stocked

Providing support to the teaching staff by serving meals, setting up and cleaning up the dining area

Ensuring all food handling and safety regulations are strictly adhered to

What we're looking for

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education

Experience working as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues

Passion for providing high-quality care and nutrition to young children

Mandarin speaking advantageous
