Telehealth Perioperative Care Role (Remote)
Join our innovative telehealth service (Panacea AI) providing comprehensive peri-operative care for orthopaedic patients throughout their complete 3-month surgical journey. This autonomous nursing role offers the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships while delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care from pre-admission through to full recovery. Work from home, anywhere in Australia.

Guide patients through their complete 3-month peri-operative journey, establishing therapeutic relationships and providing continuous, personalised care coordination from pre-admission through full recovery

Conduct comprehensive virtual clinical assessments including pre-operative screening, post-operative monitoring, and recovery evaluations, identifying and managing complications through systematic telehealth protocols

Exercise autonomous prescribing authority within your endorsed scope of practice, modifying treatment plans, ordering investigations, and implementing evidence-based enhanced recovery pathways tailored to individual patient needs

Deliver patient education and empowerment through comprehensive coaching on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, self-management strategies, and shared decision-making to optimise engagement and adherence

Contribute to clinical excellence and innovation by developing best-practice telehealth protocols, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes

In-Clinic (On-site)
As a Nurse Practitioner at Sunshine Coast Orthopaedic Group, you will:

Provide comprehensive peri-operative care across our Birtinya and Noosa clinics, plus Sunshine Coast Private Hospital and Buderim Private Hospital

Conduct independent pre-operative assessments and post-operative reviews within your endorsed scope of practice

Collaborate closely with orthopaedic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based, personalised care plans

Prescribe medications and order investigations as per your NP endorsement
